Users must complete the registration process prior to utilizing the app, which involves linking their mobile phone number to their identity. This can be achieved through the electronic DNI certificates via the official website https://www.midni.gob.es, at document updating points located within police stations and authorized premises, or during DNI renewal appointments at Policía Nacional Document Units.

Certain limitations apply: the app cannot be used to prove identity without an active data connection, nor can it serve as a travel document at border crossings or in international contexts. Additionally, it does not support online authentication transactions or electronic signature procedures.

Whenever the app is accessed, it requests personal identity data; however, these details are not stored on the device. There is no recording of verification processes or geolocation data.

Access permission to the device’s camera is required for scanning QR codes, which is necessary for verifying other users’ credentials through the app.
